2Schedule a troubleshooting visit ($80)
Most customers don't actually know what's wrong, they just know it's not cooling. We come down to find out for sure.
3We diagnose on-site
Check the filter, fan coil, electrical, drainage and refrigerant pressure. Nine times out of ten the problem isn't where customers think it is.
4We tell you what we found
If it's a dirty coil, we say so. If it's an electrical fault, we say so. If gas is low, we move to step 5. No hidden findings, no upsell scripts.
5If gas is low, your two options
(a) Top up and see how long it lasts, or (b) Pressure test to find the leak. We explain both and let you decide. No pressure either way.
6Top up (if you choose it)
Connect manifold gauges, identify your gas type (R22 / R32 / R410A), weigh in the correct amount, run the unit to verify cooling. $80 fee waived.
7Or pressure test (if you choose it)
Dismantle the units, set up gauges on each item, pump in H2 to ~350 psi. We leave the system pressurised and head out.
8Return 2 to 3 days later
Re-check every component. If anything dropped in pressure, that's the leak source. We then quote the actual repair separately from the test fee.

How much does an aircon gas top-up cost in Singapore?
An aircon gas top-up Singapore typically costs $80 to $200 for residential multi-split systems (System 1 to 5), depending on gas type and amount needed. We start with a $80 troubleshooting visit to confirm the issue is actually low gas (and not something else like a dirty coil). This fee is waived if you proceed with the top-up. VRV/VRF commercial systems are quoted separately as they often require full tanks of refrigerant.
Why don't you give a flat price for gas top-up?
Because every job is different. Gas top-up pricing depends on the type of refrigerant (R22, R32 or R410A) and how much your system needs. A small top-up on a single split costs much less than refilling a system that's lost most of its charge. Companies that quote one flat price either overcharge small jobs or under-quote and surprise you with extras. We assess on-site and quote you the actual amount before doing any work.
Why does my aircon need a gas top-up at all?
An aircon system is a closed loop. Refrigerant doesn't get used up like petrol. If gas is low, it means there's a leak somewhere. That said, very small leaks in older systems are common and topping up may be cheaper than chasing a tiny leak. We give you both options honestly: top up and see how long it lasts, or do a pressure test to find the exact leak point.
What's a pressure test and when do I need one?
A pressure test is the proper way to find a refrigerant leak. We dismantle the units, hook up pressure gauges to each component, pump in H2 (hydrogen) to around 350 psi, and check for leaks. We then leave the system pressurised and return 2 to 3 days later. If any unit has dropped pressure, that's where the leak is. Pressure tests start from $190 for System 1, with +$60 per additional unit. You typically need a pressure test if you've been topping up gas every few months, that means the leak is significant enough to find and fix permanently.
Do you handle R22, R32 and R410A?
Yes, all three. Most newer systems (post-2018) use R32, slightly older systems use R410A, and very old units (typically 10+ years) still use R22. Even though R22 is being phased out globally, we still source it for older HDB and condo units that aren't ready for replacement yet.
How do I know if my aircon needs a gas top-up?
Common signs: aircon is running but not cooling, ice or frost forming on the copper pipes outside the unit, longer cooling time, or the outdoor compressor short-cycling on and off. But these can also be caused by a dirty coil, faulty thermostat or weak fan motor, that's why we always troubleshoot first instead of assuming it's gas.
How does the troubleshooting fee work?
We charge $80 for a troubleshooting visit because most customers don't actually know what's wrong with their aircon. They just know it's not cooling. We come down, run diagnostics, and tell you exactly what the issue is. If it turns out to be low gas and you proceed with the top-up, the $80 is waived completely. If it's something else (like a dirty fan coil that just needs cleaning), the $80 covers the visit and we'll quote the actual fix separately.
How long does a gas top-up take?
About 30 to 45 minutes for a typical residential top-up once we've confirmed gas is the issue. We connect manifold gauges to your system, weigh in the correct amount of refrigerant for your gas type and system size, then run the unit and verify cooling has been restored before leaving.
Will my aircon need topping up again next year?
Maybe, maybe not. If your system has a small slow leak (common in 10+ year old units), a top-up can last 12 to 24 months. If it has a significant leak, you'll be back in months. The honest answer: a top-up is a band-aid, a pressure test finds the actual leak. We'll tell you which makes more sense for your situation.
Do you do gas top-ups for VRV/VRF systems?
